How it works
- h₀ = + + ; Cut length per width = h₀ ( = 0); Cut length per width = ceil(h₀ / ) × ( > 0)
- Widths per panel = ceil( × / / ( − 2 × ))
- Fabric to purchase = (Total fabric widths × Cut length per width + ) / 100
- Worked example: 200 cm × 2 / 2 / 130 cm → 2; 4 × (220 + 10 + 20) cm = 10 m

Assumptions and limitations
All measurements are cm. Each equal panel uses whole vertical fabric widths. Usable width subtracts two entered edge allowances per strip, conservatively covering sides/seams; round widths upward separately for each panel. Cut drop adds top and bottom allowances, then rounds upward to a whole straight pattern repeat. Add extra purchase allowance once. No half-drop match, nap reversal, railroaded fabric, shrinkage or supplier increment is modeled. Enter extra fabric as needed.
