How it works
- r = ÷ 1,200; A = ((1+r)^ − 1) ÷ r; r=0: A=; Start of period: A′=A×(1+r); D=max(0, ( − ×(1+r)^) ÷ A)
- Worked example: (2,200 − 1,000) ÷ 12 = 100 (r=0)
- Supported input limits: : 0 ≤ x ≤ 1,000,000,000,000; : 0 ≤ x ≤ 1,000,000,000,000; : 0 ≤ x ≤ 1,000; : 1 ≤ x ≤ 1,200

Assumptions and limitations
Monthly deposits and a constant annual rate divided by 12 are assumed. Beginning-of-month deposits earn one extra month of interest. A zero required deposit means the current balance’s projected growth already covers the target; returns are not guaranteed.
