How it works
- Full age (만 나이): Completed years
- Calendar age (연 나이) = (Year) − (Year)
- Traditional counting age (세는 나이) = Calendar age (연 나이) + 1
- Worked example: For someone born on 2000-12-31, compare the age systems on 2026-01-01. Their birthday has not yet occurred that year, so full age differs from calendar age and traditional counting age.
- Full age (만 나이) = 25; Calendar age (연 나이) = 2,026 − 2,000 = 26; Traditional counting age (세는 나이) = 26 + 1 = 27.

Assumptions and limitations
Full age counts completed birthdays using your selected February 29 convention. Calendar age is the difference between year numbers; traditional counting age adds one. These are arithmetic comparisons on the entered date, not a determination of legal eligibility or which age rule a particular service applies.
