Screen pixel density
Estimate pixels per inch and physical screen dimensions from native resolution and display diagonal. Drag the graph handles to change inputs and explore the result.
Your inputs
The editable example is illustrative. Enter your own dimensions, operating data, prices, and fees. Results update as you edit.
Calculations run in your browser. Inputs are not saved or sent to analytics.
How it works
- PPI = √(² + ²) ÷ (inch); Physical width = /PPI
- Worked example: √(1,920²+1,080²)/24 ≈ 91.787798753 PPI
- Supported input limits: : 1 ≤ x ≤ 1,000,000; : 1 ≤ x ≤ 1,000,000; : 1e-12 ≤ x ≤ 1,000,000,000,000

Assumptions and limitations
Use native pixel resolution and the diagonal of the active display, excluding its bezel. Dimensions assume square pixels on a rectangular screen. PPI describes pixel density; it does not measure text scaling, viewing distance, colour quality or perceived sharpness.
