Appliance electricity cost
Total appliance electricity use and cost using power, runtime and duty cycle. Change the inputs to update the chart or diagram.
Your inputs
The editable example is illustrative. Enter your own dimensions, operating data, prices, and fees. Results update as you edit.
Calculations run in your browser. Inputs are not saved or sent to analytics.
How it works
- Energy per modeled month = /1,000 × h/d × × ; Cost = Energy per modeled month ×
- Worked example: 100 W /1,000 × 5 h × 30 = 15 kWh; 15 × 0.20 = 3
- Supported input limits: Entries: 1–30

Assumptions and limitations
Duty cycle is a fraction from 0 to 1 applied to the entered power and runtime. Use measured average power or adjust the duty cycle without counting the same reduction twice. Flat energy prices exclude standing charges and tiered tariffs.
