Assumptions and limitations
Each folded duplex sheet carries four pages. Blank pages pad the document to a multiple of four; sheets are nested as one signature. Both preview sides are upright. Test printer duplex orientation before a full run. No PDF editing, creep or paper-thickness compensation. Example: 14 pages need 4 sheets and 2 blanks; the outer front pairs blank page 16 with page 1.
