Assumptions and limitations
Use a coffee refractometer’s TDS percentage, not Brix or a water-quality meter. Beverage mass is the collected drink, not input water. The result estimates dissolved solids, not caffeine or taste. Example: 18 g coffee, 36 g drink and 10% TDS give 20% extraction.
